The UNE COM community is incredibly diverse, including students, alumni, friends, and the greater community on both a local and national level. Through our innovative programs and supportive partnerships, we continue to offer services that not only help our students obtain the experience they need but also benefit the greater public with free health clinics, fitness programs, and more. This symbiotic and recursive relationship is a defining aspect of the UNE COM community.
Alumni and Friends
Alumni and friends are highly encouraged to get involved in current offerings and events at UNE COM. We welcome your enthusiasm and dedication to our students at whatever level of commitment you are interested in making. Your involvement is an essential and rewarding experience that our students treasure long after they graduate. Learn more about what opportunities are available, or suggest creative ideas of your own.
Programs and Centers
UNE COM offers a wealth of programs to enhance the health of our community. Programs such as U-ExCEL and MatureCare offer services specifically to aging adults, while the Coastal Healthy Communities Coalition strives to promote healthy lifestyles within the general community. The educational New England Osteopathic Heritage Center pays tribute to the complexity of the osteopathic profession, and the Body Donor Program honors those individuals who make medical education possible by their donation to science.
Clinical Services
As a medical school, UNE COM offers opportunities for our students to apply the skills they are learning in the classroom for the betterment of our local community. Whether it is through osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) or vaccination and blood pressure clinics, in their first and second years at UNE COM, our students are given an understanding and appreciation of how to interact with and care for their patients. These services are free and open to the public.
